Growing Bee-Friendly Garden Plants

Project Description

In 2015, Friends of the Earth U.S. and the Pesticide Research Institute released Growing Bee-Friendly Garden Plants: Profiles In Innovation, a report that profiles the strategies used by nursery and greenhouse growers to reduce or eliminate their use of neonicotinoid insecticides on garden plants. These growers chose to take a protective stance toward pollinator health, taking immediate steps to remove neonicotinoid-containing products from their pest management plans.

Their stories can provide valuable insights to growers, institutions, and garden centers who are planning to carry or plant neonicotinoid-free ornamental plants.
